A video shared on social media captured the intense scene as the landgrabbers persistently pounded the fenced gate with sledgehammers in their bid to gain entry to the property.

According to a family source, the group claimed that a portion of the property had been "given" to them and supposedly emerged from a nearby mosque on Adeola Adeleye Street.

However, the family members residing in the house firmly refused to grant them access, urging the landgrabbers to resolve the matter through legal means.

Undeterred, the aggressors continued with their unlawful actions, disregarding the pleas of the residents.

In a desperate attempt to defend her family's property, a brave woman inside the compound resorted to extreme measures.

She obtained petrol and set fire to the fence, creating a barrier between the landgrabbers and their unlawful intentions.

The flames served as a powerful deterrent, forcing the intruders to retreat for their own safety.

Upon learning of the incident, the authorities were promptly notified, and the police arrived at the scene.

Although the fire was successfully extinguished, no arrests have been made at this time.

While the landgrabbers were temporarily thwarted, they have not returned to the property since the encounter.

"No arrest was made, and they haven't been back as of yet, but they're threatening to return to complete their mission," stated the source.
