During the past season, Balogun, 22, showcased his potential while on loan at Reims, scoring 21 goals in 37 Ligue 1 matches. He also committed to representing the USA on the international stage and made his debut against Mexico.

Having played only 10 games for Arsenal and scoring twice in a span of two and a half years on the fringes of the club's first team, Balogun is poised to depart from North London. The deal with Monaco reportedly includes a significant sell-on clause, ensuring Arsenal's potential future gains from the player's transfers.

There were suggestions that Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur could be interested in Balogun. Chelsea reportedly contacted Arsenal regarding a potential deal, while Tottenham seeks to strengthen their forward line after Harry Kane's move to Bayern Munich.

Folarin Balogun's return to Ligue 1 with Monaco is anticipated to create a potent attacking partnership alongside Wissam Ben Yedder. Monaco currently leads the Ligue 1 table, having secured seven points from their initial three matches.

Balogun might make his debut for Monaco in a match against Lens at the Stade Louis II Stadium on September 2, as Monaco aims to extend their unbeaten start to the season to four matches.
