Yul Edochie, a popular Nollywood actor, has recently suffered a tragic loss as his son, Kambilichukwu Edochie, passed away on March 30, 2023. Kambilichukwu was Yul's first son with his first wife, May. According to reports, he suddenly developed a seizure while playing football with his schoolmates, which ultimately led to his demise.
Since the incident, Yul, May, and their daughter Danielle have remained silent on social media. However, on April 9, Danielle Edochie made her first social media post since the tragedy. Taking to her Instagram story, she shared a screenshot of her YouTube channel while urging her followers to subscribe.
Kambilichukwu's passing has left the entire Edochie family grieving, with veteran actor Pete Edochie also mourning the loss of his grandson. In a chat with Vanguard, Pete Edochie described Kambilichukwu as a brilliant, unusual child who excelled in everything he did. The grandfather expressed his sorrow over the fact that his grandson died while showing so much promise.

“Kambilinachukwu is a very quiet, brilliant and talented child. He’s not somebody you can ride easily. He doesn’t get angry no matter the situation. He may change his composure, but he was definitely a very unusual person in so many respects. He was so accomplished. I always tell my son that I don’t like people excelling like this in any thing they are involved in. Experience has taught me that such people don’t last long.”
