A woman has taken to social media to express her frustration after her bank account was wrongly debited with approximately 1.7 million Naira following her use of a Zenith bank ATM.
In a video she posted, the woman explained that she, along with her friend Emmanuel, had visited a Zenith bank branch in Ikeja the previous night. Emmanuel's GTB debit card got stuck in the ATM, and they left the bank without making any withdrawals after waiting in line for over thirty minutes without success.
To their shock, they began receiving debit alerts totaling 1.7 million Naira from GT bank. The woman claimed that even at the time she recorded the video, the card was still trapped in the ATM.
Recall that earlier this year, another user of Zenith bank has also been a victim of wrongful debit.
The woman has come out to demand an explanation from either Zenith bank or GTB.
