Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu has not yet unveiled his new ministerial list due to extensive consultation. Adamu shared this information during a meeting with APC chairmen from across the country held in Abuja. According to Adamu, the president is currently engaged in thorough consultations before finalizing his nominees for ministerial positions.
Adamu further explained that the nomination of ministers will be the first step, followed by a screening process and subsequent pronouncement by the president. After the formal appointment and swearing-in of the ministers, President Tinubu will disclose their respective ministries to the nation. This announcement will also shed light on the total number of ministries that will be established.
Reports indicate that the president's list of nominees, expected to be submitted to the Senate for approval within the coming week, will include at least five former governors. Notably, this list has been dubbed the "cabinet of (political) unity" due to its inclusion of nominees from various political parties such as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as well as technocrats.
