A Nigerian man currently residing in the United Kingdom (UK) has shared an inspiring journey of how his salary significantly increased after relocating abroad.

Dipo Awojide, the individual in question, offered encouragement to young people by recounting his own experience. After completing the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, he started with a government payment of N10,000 and an additional N22,500 from Wema Bank during his NYSC service in Nigeria.

Despite the initial modest income, Dipo chose to stay in his home country to gain valuable experience before pursuing further studies and work opportunities abroad.

Dipo shared his remarkable journey, revealing that his income rose from £15,000 (N18 million) in 2011 to £33,000 (N40 million) in 2015 after completing his PhD in the United Kingdom. In a statement, Dipo encouraged others to seize job opportunities even if they start with a lower salary, emphasizing the importance of gaining experience, developing employability skills, and consistently progressing in one's career.
