A Nigerian man finds himself in dismay after receiving an unexpected response from his girlfriend upon surprising her with a N20K cash gift for her birthday.
Sharing the exchange on microblogging platform X, the user, identified as @OSERE_X, credited his girlfriend with the sum of N20K, announcing it as a birthday gift in a chat.
Unfortunately, the lady ungratefully accepted the cash gift, questioning what he meant by 'spoil yourself' in response to such an amount.
The disappointed man captioned the post, “Maybe I overreacted or Maybe I didn’t…The entitlement some girls have ehnn.. Sent this lady monetary gift.. and this was what I got? Smh…. Never again!!” He pressed on to rant, “Money that I worked hard for!!!!! Gifting someone is bad now? I was only trying to be nice.. since it is her special day.”
