A Nigerian lady found herself in a frightening situation when she had to climb onto a kitchen countertop to escape from a pet pitbull that became upset with her.
The incident took place when the lady visited a friend's home to cook, and the pet dog started barking aggressively towards her.
In fear for her safety, she quickly climbed onto the kitchen countertop to prevent the pitbull from charging at her or potentially biting her.
While on the counter, the scared woman expressed her intention to remain there until the homeowner returned and could take control of the situation by leashing the pet.
A Twitter user, @topensyy, who shared the video, issued a warning about keeping certain breeds of dogs as pets.
According to her, pitbulls are inherently wild and are not suitable for domestication as household pets.
The user further expressed the opinion that the pitbull in the video had not intended to charge at the woman, as the confined space would have made it easier for the dog to reach her.
She wrote:
“Nobody is saying you should not keep dogs as pets, but pitbulls are never meant to be pets. This lady is just lucky that the pitbull did not want to charge at her because that place is very small for the pitbull. Rottweilers are another dangerous breed that should be kept away from children.”
