The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has expressed his deepest condolences to the Nigerian music sensation, Ayodeji “Wizkid” Balogun, following the heartbreaking news of his mother’s untimely passing.
Late Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun reportedly passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023.
Using his official Twitter account, Peter Obi conveyed his heartfelt sympathies and offered his earnest prayers for strength to Wizkid as he navigates through this immensely challenging period of grief.
In his own words;
“On behalf of the OBIdient family, I extend my most sincere commiserations to Mr. Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, who has reportedly suffered the painful loss of his cherished mother. The passing away of a loved one is an incredibly distressing experience, especially when it is one's beloved mother.
“Dear Wizkid, may the Almighty God, who has called her to her eternal home, grant her serene rest in His divine kingdom, and may He bestow upon you and your family the strength to endure the weight of this irreplaceable loss. May God's blessings be forever upon you. – Peter Obi”
