Failed Election Prophecies: Pastor Effa blames CAN, cites "Inspiration from Devil"

The Senior Pastor of World Royal City Church in Asokoro, Abuja, Effa Emmanuel, recently expressed his perspective on the failed prophecies surrounding the 2023 general elections, attributing their lack of accuracy to a lack of divine inspiration. Pastor Emmanuel shared his views with journalists during a religious conference held in Abuja. It is worth noting that several religious leaders had made prophetic declarations about the potential outcome of the upcoming 2023 elections, but many of these predictions turned out to be incorrect. The pastor clarified that these flawed prophecies were a result of being conceived by human reasoning rather than being divinely inspired.

Pastor Emmanuel emphasized the need for leaders of religious bodies such as the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) to take responsibility for maintaining order and preventing confusion within the house of worship. He referred to the teachings of Paul in Corinthians, where it was advised that prophecies should be shared one at a time, with others judging them. According to the pastor, prophecy should not be a source of confusion, as God is not the author of confusion.

The cleric acknowledged that any clergy member delivering prophecies based on personal imagination is merely expressing their own thoughts, highlighting the importance of regulating such prophecies. He called upon CAN and PFN to discern between false and authentic prophecies, urging them to play a role in distinguishing between those inspired by the devil and those truly speaking on behalf of God. Pastor Emmanuel emphasized that a true prophet of God speaks words that come to pass, while those who do not fulfill their prophecies are not speaking on behalf of God.

In conclusion, the pastor emphasized the need for CAN and PFN to regulate the church and speak with one voice, ensuring that those representing the voice of God are identified to avoid conflicts and disorder.
