Ngozi Kekwaru, an employee at Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, has been recognized for her exceptional honesty and integrity. She was bestowed with a prestigious chieftaincy title and celebrated as the ambassador of Emohua Local Government Area (LGA) in Rivers State. This honor was bestowed upon her in light of her commendable act of returning $70,000 that had been misplaced by a customer in one of the hotel suites.

In a ceremony held at the council secretariat on August 3, the Chairman of Emohua LGA, Chidi Lloyd, proudly announced Ngozi Kekwaru as the brand ambassador of Emohua LGA. Kekwaru, hailing from the Rundele community in Emuoha LGA, further showcased her commitment to the community by participating in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a one-kilometer road in Ibaa community, an initiative being undertaken by the local government.

In addition to her chieftaincy title, Kekwaru was honored with the naming of a pavilion in recognition of her outstanding character and dedication.

During the ceremony, Kekwaru expressed deep gratitude to the people of Emohua and Ikwerre local government areas, as well as the council of chiefs and the wider community of Rivers State and Nigeria, for bestowing such significant honors upon her. Her humility and gratitude were evident as she dedicated these honors to her late father and all those who have contributed to her upbringing and character development.

Further highlighting the depth of recognition she received, Kekwaru was presented with a N2 million cheque by Samuel Nwanosike, the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government council. This symbolic gesture took place at the council headquarters in Isiokpo.

Kekwaru's journey of gratitude and acknowledgment extended to significant individuals who played pivotal roles in her formative years. She took the time to visit and express her appreciation to those who contributed to shaping her life, including her former teacher during her visit to Rivers State.
