Promise Wosu Junior, a determined young man from Omudioga in Emohua local government, Rivers state, made headlines by completing an incredible 5-day marathon from the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos to Port Harcourt. His ambitious goal was to set a Guinness World Record, and his remarkable achievement didn't go unnoticed.

Covering a grueling distance of approximately 350 kilometers, Promise's extraordinary journey garnered significant attention, support, and recognition. Following the successful completion of his marathon, he arrived in Port Harcourt on October 21, where he promptly checked into a medical facility for a well-deserved check-up and some much-needed rest.

His determination and courage were celebrated by the Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, who warmly welcomed him back to Port Harcourt. In a Facebook post on November 1, Promise shared his excitement with his followers, announcing that he had been generously rewarded with plots of land.

"In appreciation of my courage and determination on the just concluded Lagos to Port Harcourt Marathon, which I successfully completed to project the good image of our State and Nation at large, I have been gifted with plots of land," he wrote.
