According to a statement released by the Edo State Police Command, the arrest took place on April 7th while Francis Okoye Obinna was traveling from Lagos to Anambra.

Law enforcement officers allegedly uncovered a Brownie Pistol with breach No. PZ1833, accompanied by nine rounds of 6mm ammunition, and a POS machine in his possession during the stop and search operation.

In his initial statement to the police, Francis Okoye Obinna purportedly admitted that the gun was given to him by an individual named Emma in Lagos.

He claimed that Emma entrusted him with the weapon to confront a certain Mr. Paul Okoye, whom he accused of using mystical means to kill his father in Anambra State.

In response to the seriousness of the allegation, police operatives embarked on a journey to Lagos to verify the authenticity of Obinna’s claims.

However, their investigations yielded conflicting findings, raising doubts about the credibility of the suspect’s story.

The Edo State Police Command has stressed that investigations are ongoing to determine the true motives behind Francis Okoye Obinna’s possession of the gun and the POS machine, as well as to ascertain their intended use.
