The renowned Nigerian musician, Ayodeji Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, has recently disclosed the reasons behind his decision to cease attending parties and hanging out.
During a recent interview, the Afrobeat artist opened up about his lifestyle choices and his preference for staying indoors.
Wizkid explained that he now prefers spending time at home with his child rather than socializing. He clarified that his decision is not influenced by public opinion but rather stems from his age and personal experiences.
In his own words:
“I am an introverted person, I enjoy staying indoors and don't engage in many activities or hangouts. Although I used to enjoy those things in the past, I have lost interest in them now.
“My inclination towards staying indoors is mainly influenced by my age and the wisdom I have gained through personal experiences, rather than how people perceive me. As I grow older, I become more aware of what I truly desire. I don't feel the need to be at every party or hang out. Sometimes, when I attend parties, I get excited initially, but if someone accidentally spills a drink on me, I realize I could be at home with my son, having a good time.
“While I don't take offense in such situations, the mere thought of being able to enjoy quality time with my child at home makes such incidents less appealing.”
