The three-time African champions faced Guinea at the Bani Yas Stadium in Abu Dhabi, aiming to fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming AFCON tournament.

Guinea seized an early lead in the 14th minute, putting Nigeria on the defensive.

Despite having opportunities, including a penalty awarded to Sadiq Umar in the 19th minute, Nigeria couldn't level the score, as Moses Simon's spot-kick was denied by the Guinean goalkeeper.

In the second half, Nigeria struggled to regain momentum, conceding a second goal in the 64th minute.

Attempting to turn the tide, coach Jose Peseiro made late changes in the 73rd minute, with Bassey, Iwobi, and Onyeka replacing Omeruo, Onyedika, and Awaziem.

Ten minutes later, Aribo, Musa, and Lookman entered the game, substituting Alhassan, Chukwueze, and Simon, but it was too late for a major upset as Guinea maintained a clean sheet.
