The Federal Government [/b]has officially declared its intention to commence the nationwide distribution of grains as part of its strategy to mitigate the prevailing economic challenges encountered by citizens. This initiative, aimed at alleviating the hardships experienced by people across the nation, was revealed by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari [/b], through a statement conveyed via his official X handle on Monday.

Senator Kyari expressed empathy towards those affected by the prevailing challenges, particularly highlighting the repercussions of the recent foodstuff warehouse looting. In his statement, he emphasized the government's unwavering commitment to the welfare of its citizens. He announced the distribution of 42,000 metric tons of grains, endorsed by President Bola Tinubu, across all 36 states of the federation. Additionally, he disclosed plans to release 58,500 metric tons of milled rice from mega rice millers into the market to stabilize the situation.
