Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian singer, has thanked Nigeria for making Ghanaian music less essential and well-known.
The 36-year-old musician took to Instagram to express his dissatisfaction with Nigerian music's overshadowing of Ghanaian music. Ghanaian (African) musicians are now referred to as afrobeats musicians, a term previously reserved for Nigerian musicians.
According to him, this trend is due to Ghana's lack of identity, which it has artfully swiped from Nigeria in order to cash out.
Despite the fact that Shatta Wale announced his retirement in April, he stated that he has no objection to this situation as long as he grabs the bag and cashes out big time.
