However, following the Super Eagles' defeat against Ivory Coast, dashing hopes of securing the AFCON cup, VeeKee James stirred controversy with a now-deleted post.
She asserted that Nigerians would now shift their focus from her glamorous wedding to the football loss, sparing her from their criticism and complaints.
In her words, “At least una go leave me now carry una anger face Super Eagles.”
This statement, however, ignited a second wave of backlash from social media users.
