Tiwa Savage, a popular Nigerian singer, has confirmed that there was a major security breach at her residence in Lagos. She shared a statement on her Instagram page informing her fans of the incident. According to the statement, a number of suspects have been caught and are currently being held under investigation at Alagbon Police Station, Ikoyi. Tiwa Savage and her family are reported to be safe and well.
Kemi Olunloyo had previously alleged that there was a kidnapping attempt on Tiwa Savage on Thursday, April 13. She claimed that a newly hired domestic worker at Tiwa Savage’s home conspired with other criminals to kidnap the singer, and that they had been following her for a while. However, the scheme was reportedly thwarted by the police, and the suspects have been arrested and handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department at Alagbon Police Station in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Kemi Olunloyo advised celebrities to be very careful and wary of their domestic staff at all times, especially given the current security situation in Nigeria. She also urged them not to post personal information such as their children or their home addresses on social media.
