In a widely circulated video, the destructive fire is captured consuming the singer’s belongings worth millions of naira. The footage depicts the frantic efforts of people attempting to salvage whatever remains of the severely damaged house.
Taking to his Instagram account, Small Doctor confirmed the occurrence of the fire and expressed gratitude for life and safety. Despite the material losses, the Afro-pop musician interpreted the incident as a positive omen for his future endeavors.
“No pressure for the Lord is with me,” he wrote, reassuring his followers that no lives were lost in the unfortunate incident. Small Doctor used a proverb to convey his perspective, stating, “Ile Alaafin to jo, ewa lo bu kun,” which translates to "a king's house that burns is an opportunity for beautification."
