Viral media personality, Pelumi Nubi receives a heroic welcome as she finally arrives in Lagos, Nigeria after 68 days of solo driving from London.
It would be recalled that the content creator had announced her ambitious plan to drive from London to Lagos some months ago.
During her journey, she encountered an accident that momentarily paused her trip, but she persevered and continued on her remarkable journey.
The Hon. Commissioner of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, and the Special Adviser for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Idris Aregbe, greeted Pelumi at the Nigerian-Benin Republic border on behalf of the Lagos State Government.
Pelumi Nubi made her second stop at Badagry before proceeding to Unilag to celebrate her triumphant arrival.
Speaking to Channels TV, she expressed her joy, stating:
“I feel so good to be home. Honestly, the homecoming has been amazing, really welcoming.
“Nigeria is definitely home to me, so it’s more than amazing. I expected the homecoming, but this has been incredible, so thank you so much, I am really grateful, and I can’t wait for the celebration that is waiting for me at Unilag.”
