A personal aide to politician Ned Nwoko, Chris Agidy, who was abducted by kidnappers [/b]in November 2023, has tragically been murdered, as confirmed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh.
The incident is part of the wave of kidnappings that affected at least 19 individuals in the Galadimawa neighborhood of the nation’s capital in November, with a previous report indicating the unfortunate demise of 12 abductees.
While the identities of the deceased remained unknown, efforts were underway by the congressman and security personnel to rescue the lawyer’s aide. On Tuesday, the FCT Police confirmed the distressing news, revealing that the politician’s aide, Barr. Chris Agidy, was killed by one of the kidnappers, Samaila Wakili, who was subsequently apprehended.
The FCT PPRO stated that upon arrest, the suspect “led police operatives to where the remains of Barr. Chris Agidy is,” and the deceased's body was recovered and deposited in Gwagwalada General Hospital.
