Maria Chike, a former contestant on the Big Brother Naija reality show, recently opened up about the spiritual challenges she faced after exiting the show. In an interview with The Cable, the actress shared that leaving the show brought about several spiritual struggles that led her to get closer to God. Despite being raised in a Christian household, Chike's faith was tested after her time on the show.
According to Chike, having a strong support system and a solid foundation in faith are crucial in overcoming life's obstacles. She also emphasized the danger of comparing oneself to others, as it can lead to failure. Instead, Chike encourages individuals to work at their own pace and ignore others' progress. She stated, "Having God by your side is also amazing, and I always encourage people, no matter what they do, whether it's good, bad, or evil in the eyes of other people, to always tell God first, and it helps you feel better."
Chike stressed the importance of having friends who can offer advice and help overcome challenges. While she admitted to having only a few close friends, she is grateful for their love, encouragement, and advice, which she combines with prayer. She hopes that others can also find strength and support in their relationships and faith.
