Prominent media personality Julie Adenuga has opened up about a challenging period in her life, revealing that her boyfriend chose to end their relationship after she tested positive for COVID-19.
In a recent podcast with Madame Joyce, the North London-born radio host shared the distressing experience of receiving a breakup call from her partner on the same evening she disclosed her COVID-19 diagnosis while she was in the hospital.
Julie Adenuga candidly described the emotional toll of navigating both the physical challenges of battling the virus and the heartbreak of the unexpected breakup. Reflecting on her relationship, she expressed, “I was in a relationship for a long time where I knew it wasn’t the right one but I thought it might be the best I am going to get. So, I decided to keep it going for as long as possible.”
The media personality went on to recount the day of her COVID-19 diagnosis, stating, “I got COVID-19 and the day that I found out I had COVID-19, my boyfriend broke up with me. I was mad that day. I sent him a picture of my test result. And that evening, he called me that he was breaking up with me.”
