The initial arrest of Bobrisky occurred under the jurisdiction of the Lagos State Command of the EFCC, following accusations of mishandling the naira note through spraying.

In a recent development reported by The Punch and The Cable on Thursday night, April 4, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed Bobrisky's release on bail but disclosed his failure to fulfill the conditions.

According to sources, one of the conditions for Bobrisky's bail might involve surrendering his international passport to EFCC officials, although the specifics of the agreement remain undisclosed.

Oyewale elaborated on the situation, stating:

“Yes. He has been granted administrative bail. Normally when you take in a suspect lawfully, there are some thresholds as to the number of days he can be held in custody,”

Oyewale said. “So, we are only complying with the law. We have offered him administrative bail. He has not met the bail conditions. If he meets the bail conditions today he will go home.”
