Barely hours after the record label boss, Carter Efe, took the stage to perform the solo rendition of the hit track 'Oyinmo,' the emerging artist Young Duu finds himself grappling with the distressing reality of his music being allegedly hijacked.
In a recent development, Carter Efe was spotted headlining a live show, where he not only showcased his own talents but also delivered a rendition of the newly released single that originally belonged to both himself and the former signee of Portable, Young Duu. This unexpected move stirred reactions not only among the attendees but also within the online community.
Expressing his frustration, Young Duu openly lamented feeling excluded from the unfolding narrative. The budding artist, who once shared professional ties with Portable, accused Carter Efe of not only abandoning him but also seizing the opportunity to exploit his predicament for personal gain.
In the aftermath of the show performance, Young Duu voiced his grievances, asserting, “I'm the rightful owner of the song, but I've been robbed. Someone else has taken control of my creation! Carter Efe, with a cunning approach, performed my song at the show. He identifies as a comedian, not a singer, and despite my struggles, he continues to reap the rewards without offering any support."
Continuing his narrative, Young Duu went on to reveal more about the strained relationship with his former boss, Portable, accusing Carter Efe of exploiting his vulnerability. He expressed his disappointment, stating, “I don't want to reveal everything. It's not honorable; my former boss treated me poorly, and now you want to follow suit. We all have families, just as I emerged from somewhere. Is this why you urged me to produce an album for you?"
