Fast-rising Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye, has broken a five-year record held by her senior colleague and box office record breaker, Funke Akindele, at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Bimbo Ademoye competed against top contenders including Roselyn Ngissah’s “Red Carpet,” Funke Akindele’s “Battle On Buka Street,” Grace Wacuka’s “Married to Work,” Mercy Johnson’s “Battle On Buka Street,” and Mercy Johnson Onogie’s “Passport.”
In the highly competitive Best Actress in a Comedy/TV Series category, Bimbo Ademoye emerged victorious, surpassing strong contenders such as Funke Akindele and Mercy Johnson, among others.
The organizers of the show took to Twitter to express their delight, announcing Bimbo Ademoye as the winner and expressing their excitement about the achievements of this fast-rising actress.
