A married woman shares the tumultuous transformation her marriage underwent after persuading her husband to relocate them from the mainland to Lekki, the heart of Lagos Island.
In a narrative presented by a relationship adviser, a couple experienced a significant rift in their marriage following the decision to move to a high-end environment.
According to the married woman, their move was facilitated by a substantial windfall her husband received from a lucrative business deal.
However, their once-peaceful home turned tumultuous barely a month after settling on the Island, primarily due to her husband’s change of lifestyle.
Reportedly, the man started engaging in clubbing, substance abuse, ceased eating at home, and underwent a complete transformation while recklessly squandering the profits from the business.
“My biggest regret was pushing my husband to move us from the mainland to Lagos Island. We were living in a two-bedroom somewhere in Okota, and we were very happy.
“Along the line, my husband landed a lucrative contract, and enticed by the substantial money, I became insistent that we should move to the Island.
“Eventually, we relocated to Lekki phase one, and our serenity lasted only during the initial month of our move. At present, my husband has become a total stranger, delving into a lifestyle of clubbing after making new acquaintances,” she expressed.
