A Nigerian lady recently took to her Facebook page to share a heartfelt testimony of her journey from being mocked for years to finally getting married.
In her emotional post, she expressed her gratitude to God and revealed how she had once given up hope, feeling as though God had forsaken her and denied her the blessing of a husband.
She shared that the constant mockery and inquiries about her marital status had taken a toll on her. She even went as far as changing her route to avoid encountering those who would ask her when she would get married. Additionally, the pressure from her mother to settle down compelled her to avoid visiting her family home altogether.
Reflecting on her journey, she wrote, "There were times when I almost gave up, times when I felt left out, times when I wore a smile on the outside but felt sorrowful behind closed doors. There were countless moments when I believed the Lord had forsaken me, refusing to turn the page of my life. I'll never forget when I changed my direction just to avoid certain individuals who would ask me that one dreaded question, 'Tonia, when will we come and celebrate with you at your wedding?' I would go home and question God, asking if He would continue to watch His daughter being mocked. I told Him that the question wasn't directed at me, but at Him. I stopped going to family gatherings because I knew my mom would ask, 'Tim, how far? You know that kind of 'how far,' right?"
However, despite the challenges, she refused to succumb to desperation or fear. She remained steadfast in her belief that God had a plan for her. She sought a man, and God graciously blessed her with a loving husband. She asked for a testimony, and He granted her one that even her enemies testify to on her behalf. It may seem humorous, but God truly made it happen. Now, she proudly proclaims herself as a married woman, a beautiful wife. She expresses her gratitude for all the disappointments she faced along the way because they ultimately led her to this powerful testimony.
"Indeed, love is a beautiful thing, and I have found love," she exclaims joyfully. She goes on to pray that her marriage will bring blessings to all the single ladies who believe in God, especially those close to her heart. She encourages everyone to keep trusting in God, assuring them that He will make everything beautiful in His own perfect timing.
