Vendor expresses her distress as she shares a harrowing incident where a skilled POS fraudster defrauded her of N80K after purchasing items from her shop.
The footwear vendor took to the internet to recount the experience and warn fellow shop owners about the new tactics being employed by unscrupulous customers.
In a video shared by the vendor, the customer can be seen entering the shop wearing dark shades and a wig, effectively concealing her face from the CCTV.
The customer made several purchases amounting to a total of 95,000 naira and chose to pay via POS rather than cash.
According to the vendor, when the customer inserted her card and entered her PIN, she held onto the machine and swiftly swapped the receipt when it printed out, taking advantage of the vendor's distraction at that moment.
