Passengers who were aboard a United Nigeria plane are expressing their gratitude to God for surviving a crash-landing at Lagos airport.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday, May 31st when the plane experienced a crash-landing at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja, Lagos State.
The plane, which had departed from Ebonyi State, encountered a tire removal issue during its landing at the airport, resulting in the crash-landing.
Following the crash-landing, passengers were seen holding their bags and luggage after being rescued from the aircraft.
A passenger who spoke to the news team described the moment the plane started shaking after the tire was removed. The pilot made an emergency landing in a nearby bush for everyone's safety, and there was a near-fire incident caused by the removed tire.
In his own words, "The plane started shaking as soon as the tire was removed. The pilots managed to land the plane in the bush. It was an emergency landing, and the plane almost caught fire."
Social media users have reacted to the incident, with some thanking God for the passengers' lives and others expressing their concerns about airline safety and maintenance.
