Nigerian actor Yul Edochie's second wife, Judy Austin, has sparked controversy with her remarks about the power of love as a weapon, amidst the ongoing discussions surrounding her husband's late son.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, which coincided with the two-month remembrance of Yul's first son, Judy Austin posted pictures of herself and captioned it with a message emphasizing the all-encompassing nature of love. She wrote, "LOVE is the greatest weapon!!! Fill your heart with Genuine LOVE and you’ll be UNTOUCHABLE!!! The Happiest girl I know. I hope y’all had a wonderful day today?"
However, Judy's post received backlash from fans of the Edochie family who criticized her for being insensitive and intentionally seeking attention in inappropriate circumstances.
One Instagram user, Nigerian_American_Family, questioned her choice of posting the love message, stating, "Two months ago today you lost your stepson!!!! If he’s truly your son/stepson, will you post this instead?"
Another user, JenniferOkorafor, expressed anger by commenting, "God punish this thing called Judy."
Some comments criticized her for lacking emotional intelligence and common sense, while others accused her of seeking attention and disrespecting boundaries. There were also remarks about her status as a second wife.
Despite the backlash, Judy Austin's post remains on her Instagram page.
