Renowned Nigerian music director, TG Omori, has left Nigerians intrigued by shedding light on his decision to halt shooting music videos for the artist Asake.

This revelation came during a recent interview on the Zero Condition podcast, where TG Omori candidly discussed the reasons behind his choice to step back from directing videos for Asake.

The collaboration between TG Omori and Asake initially gained recognition with the release of the hit track "Organize" in 2022. However, eyebrows were raised when Asake opted to work with another director for his more recent music videos.

During the interview, TG Omori made it clear that he fully respected Asake's decision to explore collaborations with different directors. He emphasized the belief held by Olamide, the musician and CEO of YBNL record label, in providing opportunities to a diverse range of talents in the industry.

TG Omori lauded Olamide's inclusive approach and stressed that it wouldn't be fair to hold Asake's decision against him. He acknowledged the success of the new director chosen by Asake and appreciated Olamide's commitment to fostering creativity within the music industry.

Furthermore, TG Omori underscored the professionalism and enduring nature of his relationship with Olamide and the YBNL record label. He recounted their shared history and the trust Olamide had placed in him, offering opportunities to showcase his talent. TG also commended Olamide's support for other directors, noting that Olamide had collaborated with various individuals before partnering with TG.

In conclusion, TG Omori expressed his unwavering loyalty to Olamide and YBNL. He stressed that he didn't take Asake's decision personally and understood the business dynamics behind their relationship, likening it to any partnership that might have its breaks. TG Omori also emphasized his appreciation for artistic freedom, acknowledging that artists should have the liberty to explore new creative avenues.

In his own words: "Even husband and wife dey divorce, people do have a break. I think we have done enough, we have done like 12 videos. We are still very cool. You know it is a business and at the end of the day, you have to respect your client’s decisions. I like when artistes have the freedom to try out new things. I don’t want because we are guys you must shoot with me. I don’t know why that happened. To me it is crazy love because me and YBNL are forever. And you know how me and Olamide ‘go like way back’, and Olamide is a type that makes sure that everybody eats. And before I came, he was working with other directors and he gave me the opportunity to also do my thing. So he’s working with a very creative guy now. A very good guy that’s doing well too. That’s Olamide for you. And if I take that personal, then I have messed up."
