In a recently uploaded video, the young lady is seen approaching her landlady with a friendly greeting, but the landlady's response suggests displeasure.

Undeterred, the tenant inquires about her locked room. The landlady explains that the room will remain locked until the tenant pays the ₦1,500 naira owed for the electricity bill.

Despite the tenant's explanation that she hasn't even started using electricity due to the pending connection, the landlady insists on payment, anticipating potential resistance once the connection is active.

Even though the tenant pleads with the landlady, the landlady remains steadfast, asserting her ownership of the property and her authority over the situation.

The landlady then advises the tenant to find an alternative place to sleep until the ₦1,500 NEPA bill is settled.

The video of this incident has garnered attention from concerned individuals who have shared their thoughts in the comment section.

Here are some reactions:

nnenna_blinks_: "Just ₦1,500? The woman is acting all tough. She questions why the tenant greeted her twice when she had already greeted her before. Poverty is truly a difficult situation, and some people have no one but themselves to rely on. Considering how tough things are in the country, let's hope to encounter kind-hearted people. We know begging might not help much, but let's try to show some empathy."

veevogee: "If you can afford 2-3 meals a day and live in a comfortable apartment, you are truly blessed by God. Some situations bring tears to my eyes. Lord, I am thankful."

og_zarus: "This sounds like a skit to make people ask for help. The landlady seems to be following a script. No curses, no drama. The person who locked your door, remember?"

marrzofficial: "People in higher positions abusing their power. I pity you. It's rare, but the day your life turns upside down will shock you. Stop oppressing others just because you're in a higher position."

official_lady_poshmama_: "This disrespectful landlady is acting recklessly over just ₦1,500. She thinks she can intimidate these young girls. She should remove the padlock and do her worst. This country is something else."
