A secondary school teacher recently shared a love letter she received from a male student who expressed that his brain ceased to function after seeing her. The student admitted in the letter that he lacked the courage to approach her directly, so he chose to convey his feelings through the written word. The teacher posted a picture of the letter along with a caption expressing her astonishment and frustration at the lack of respect shown by some students. The letter, addressed to "Aunty Chioma," professed the student's infatuation, claiming that his brain stopped working every time he saw her and that it felt as if smoke was coming out of his eyes. Despite being in secondary school, the student stated his aspirations of becoming wealthy and emphasized that age should not be a barrier to love. He admitted feeling useless because he couldn't stop thinking about her, even seeing her image when he closed his eyes. The student concluded the letter by requesting that she consider his feelings and make him feel useful. The teacher's post included images of the letter, sparking discussions and reactions online.
The letter read:
“Aunty Chioma, This might sound strange to you but I mean every word. From the first time I saw you in school, it was as if my brain cell stopped working.
“Each time I see you it will be as if smoke is coming out from my eyes. Your beauty is killing me seriously. Although I am still in secondary school, I have plans of becoming a rich man.
“I know you will say I am a small boy but let me tell you when you are in love age does not matter. I am becoming very useless all because I keep thinking of you.
“Each time I close my eyes I see your picture. Please consider my request and make me useful for once.”
