The incident was shared by the fashion designer known as @ctalo_couture on her social media page, where she posted screenshots of the conversation with her friend who initially admired her design.
However, things took a sour turn as the friend was triggered by the N40K price set by the fashion designer and proceeded to criticize the business, pointing out the economic hardships in the country as justification.
Sharing the interaction, the tailor expressed the hurt she felt from her friend's comments, emphasizing the sacrifices, sleepless nights, and efforts she invested in her brand.
In her words:
“Every time I remember or see the chat this babe sent to me, it gets me sad. I know how many sacrifices I put into my brand; the headaches, the sleepless nights, the cries, and how much I try to build myself in any way I can. But all I get is I’m not there yet for an outfit I didn’t overprice.
I’ve gotten to the point where I don't allow negative feedback to get to me, but I use it as a stepping stone to do better, though. So help me God🙏🏾. If you were in my shoes, what would you do?”
