The incident was reported to the Ijebu Rewa Organisation following a distress call. It was revealed that the unfortunate incident took place while Samson, the suspect's younger brother, was away at work during his night shift.
According to neighbors, Samson had been absent from home for over five years before returning just a month ago. During this period, his mother had frequently voiced concerns to neighbors and security authorities regarding her son's drug addiction.
An anonymous neighbor recounted that in the early hours of Sunday, Samson approached him, claiming that his mother, the prophetess, had collapsed and died.
