The individual, identified as dreal_akpan, turned to Twitter to seek help, explaining that he was stranded in Abuja after traveling from Akwa Ibom for a job interview that ultimately did not materialize.

Stranded man.

In his plea for assistance, he wrote …

“I need urgent help pls, I am stranded somewhere around Wuse 2 in Abuja. I came all the way from Akwa Ibom down here in search of a job but the job didn’t materialize. It has been a horrible 3 weeks here and I want to go back home. I just need my transportation back home.”

In response, a netizen @h_abibah, among others, offered assistance in the comments section.

“How much is the transport?,” @h_abibah inquired.

He provided an invoice for the bus fare, which was listed as 25,000 Naira.

@h_abibah then sent the money, prompting the man to express his gratitude profusely.

However, @h_abibah later took to Twitter to express frustration, stating that it is challenging to help genuine people due to the prevalence of scammers.

“It’s hard to help people on this app, scammers here and there,” @h_abibah wrote.

The man responded angrily, defending himself against the scam accusations.

He wrote …

“U donated shishi come dey cry say i scammed u, someone else donated a double without tweeting trash. Na poverty mentality dey worry u. Show the whole world a proof of how u were scammed. Lowlife female terrorist.”
