A pregnant woman in Lagos State stabbed her house girl, Chinasa Anemem, after discovering that the bag she failed to wash at their residence on Simeon Oniyimofe Street in the Ojo Local Government Area. Anemem was left bleeding heavily as a result of the attack.
According to an unidentified neighbor, the pregnant woman had a history of subjecting the house girl to cruel treatment. The neighbor witnessed Anemem's agony and came to her aid. Anemem, who hails from Anambra, revealed that her aunt used a knife to pierce her body as punishment for not washing the bag.
The concerned neighbor recorded a video of Anemem recounting the incident and the severe bleeding on her back caused by the attack. In the video, he expressed his concerns about receiving threats from the woman's husband for exposing his wife's actions.
The neighbor stated, "This is terribly bad... It is very appalling that some of us as parents may not be able to take care of ourselves, and we will now give the children God has given us out into slavery. This girl is subjected to inhuman treatment and gross child abuse. The husband of the woman who stabbed this girl and gave her a deep cut, instead of being thankful to me, threatened to deal with me. And that is why I decided to take this evidence."
The suspect, Eucheria Ndigwe, aged 30 was arrested yesterday.
