Another Nigerian man who is a beneficiary of the scholarship program sponsored by Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the founder of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), has come forward to share his experience and offer his perspective on the recent controversy surrounding the pastor and the Happie Boys. Bright Chibuchi Onuoha, a third-year mechanical engineering student at a Turkish university, expressed his support for Apostle Chibuzor and defended him against the accusations of abandoning the students he sponsored abroad.
Bright, who is one of the many students benefiting from the Omega Power Ministry scholarship, revealed that the apostle covers all his school fees and rent expenses. According to him, Apostle Chibuzor provides financial support of $3,000 per student studying in a Turkish university, with nearly 30 students currently receiving this assistance.
Addressing the allegations made by Happie Boys regarding the pastor's use of people's stars to acquire a private jet, Bright firmly stated that his father does not own a private jet. He expressed his disappointment at how individuals' achievements and success can be twisted into baseless accusations of exploitation.
In his video, Bright also shed light on the situation with the Happie Boys. He revealed that the pastor had given them two options: either return to Nigeria and continue their education or temporarily pause their studies in Cyprus until the exchange rate improves. However, the boys declined both options and instead opted to create a public spectacle online.
The Happie Boys had previously accused the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry of abandoning them in Cyprus without ensuring the continuation of their education. However, this incident has sparked discussions among Nigerians, with some criticizing the boys for their perceived ingratitude and lack of appreciation for the assistance they had received from the pastor.
