Ade Adetimehin, the Ondo State Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has made an appeal to the people of Ondo State to continue offering prayers for the speedy recovery of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who has been facing health challenges recently. Adetimehin expressed his concern over the alleged politicization of the governor's health condition by opposition parties and emphasized that what the state needs at this time is collective prayer for the governor's well-being.
Speaking in Akure, the state capital, on Sunday, the chairman reassured the public that the governor's health issue is not so severe that it would prevent him from resuming his official duties. He expressed disappointment in individuals and groups spreading false news and rumors about the governor's death, condemning such actions as unfair and calling for them to be condemned by all well-meaning individuals.
Adetimehin also addressed accusations against the governor's family, stating that it is disrespectful, flippant, and callous to falsely accuse them of not taking adequate care of the governor's illness. He highlighted the efforts of Arabinrin Betty Akeredolu and the children in taking care of the governor, emphasizing the need for support and prayers for his full recovery.
