Rapper Naira Marley has disclosed that the late star, Mohbad, issued an apology to him after creating a video in which he alleged that Naira Marley was targeting his life. The video had gone viral, with Mohbad suggesting that Naira Marley and his Malian group should bear responsibility if anything untoward happened to him.

However, Naira Marley, in an interview with Reno Omokri, revealed that he had a meeting with the young singer after the video's release and possessed evidence of Mohbad's apology.
"To this day, I still don't understand it. I tried to assist him when he was going through that phase. I wasn't even in the country when he made that video," Naira Marley explained.
"I was out of the country, probably during the time of his NDLEA arrest when he made that video. On reevaluating the video, I was gathering information from everyone who was present because, as I mentioned, I wasn't in the country at the time," he continued.
"I actually sent someone to the NDLEA even before my return. When I returned the next day, they informed me that Mohbad wasn't among those arrested," Naira Marley added.
"I didn't personally secure Mohbad's release; it was only Zino who was bailed out. So, Mohbad was still at the NDLEA when he recorded that video. I wasn't present in the country during that period," he clarified.
"Upon my return, I reached out to him. I had a conversation with him. I asked him what was wrong, and he said he didn't understand and offered an apology. Yes, he apologized, and I have video evidence of that," Naira Marley concluded.
