The female lawyer, Ms. Amaka Udeh, reportedly shared the video on her social media platform, which captured the Nigerian man approaching her at the court, seeking her contact information.

Recent reports, however, indicate that the man has taken legal action against Ms. Amaka Udeh for recording and sharing the video without obtaining his permission, which he claims is a violation of his privacy.

The lawsuit demands not only a retraction of the video but also a public apology, alongside financial compensation for damages amounting to N200M.

According to a media outlet, @AskPHPeople, the man has accused the female lawyer of unlawfully recording and posting their interaction without his knowledge or consent, prompting the massive lawsuit.

They wrote …

“The young female lawyer, Ms. Amaka Udeh, who recorded the young man asking for her phone number without his consent and published the video on social media has been slammed with a N200 Million lawsuit.”

Social media reactions to the incident have been mixed, with some supporting the man's legal action and others defending the lawyer’s actions.

@espeezeal expressed: “If this man retracts this suit, he’s a bastard. The woman actually needs to be taught a lesson”

@revelationrabbi stated: “This is where Attorney Deji Adeyanju comes in. On a more serious note, if you feel the urge to record someone, resist the temptation to share it, even with friends or family.”

@IchiPrecious argued: “She did it for security reasons… That’s all. If she takes up the matter it will fall in her favour, it’s not everything we judge on social media.”

@Abangwu4 remarked: “It’s a nonsense lawsuit that will not scale through. 200 million is outrageous if at all a crime was committed, and she can even counter-sue the man.”
