This development follows a recent ruling in favor of Lamidi Apapa by the Federal High Court in Abuja. The ruling designated him as the acting national chairman of the party until the final determination of the party's leadership lawsuit.

Early in the morning, Lamidi Apapa was seen sitting outside the courtroom, accompanied by members of his entourage.

Shortly after the video circulated, Lamidi Apapa was seen confronting some members of the party inside the courtroom before the day's proceedings commenced.

Eyewitnesses reported that Lamidi directed his anger primarily towards Akin Osuntokun, the Director General of Peter Obi's presidential campaign council, for occupying a seat that he claimed was reserved for him and other members of his faction.
