The Labour Party [/b]has raised an alarm about Lamidi Apapa, a self-proclaimed suspended chairman of the party, allegedly approaching the election tribunals to dismiss all cases filed by the party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, against the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and the Independent National Electoral Commission. The Labour Party made this known in a statement signed by Obiora Ifoh, its Acting National Publicity Secretary. The party claims that approaching the tribunals to withdraw all the cases lodged by Labour Party candidates across the board is a ploy to sabotage the party's destined victory, plunge the nation into unnecessary turmoil, and derail the fledgling democracy of Nigeria.

The statement further reveals that Lamidi Apapa, alongside some suspended members of the party, including Samuel Akingbade, Gbenga Daramola, Anselem Eragbe, and Abayomi Arabambi, erstwhile National Legal Adviser, National Financial Secretary, National Youth Leader, and National Publicity Secretary, respectively, are working to frustrate Labour Party's victory in the tribunals and destroy the party. The party had long suspected that moles were planted to sabotage the party's efforts to offer Nigerians an alternative to the wicked and clueless governance in place today. The party also questions why the suspended members would approach the tribunals to withdraw all the cases lodged by Labour Party candidates if they claim to have a problem with the national leadership of the party. The party believes that their actions show that they are working against the party and threatening Nigeria's democracy.
