This announcement comes shortly after the global recognition of Hilda Baci’s record-breaking feat, where she cooked the largest pot of jollof rice on September 12, 2025, at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos. The upcoming Ukodo and beans cook-a-thon, spearheaded by Chef Rita, is scheduled to take place on September 17, 2025, in Asaba, Delta State. The event has already secured significant financial support. According to a Facebook post shared by Ossai Ovie Success, ₦20 million has been pledged in sponsorship by notable figures, including Amb. Abolo Henshell, CEO of Korrect Logistics, and High Chief Ibori Ubulu, the Onishe of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom. This support is expected to lay a solid foundation for the ambitious record attempt.
