After seeking assistance online, a young Nigerian lady successfully helped her mother sell all 220 loaves of bread baked on the wrong church event date.
The lady, known as @lola_mewu, shared in a tweet that quickly went viral how her mother had mistakenly baked the bread a week earlier than the actual event date. This mistake threatened to result in wasted goods and effort.
Faced with the possibility of loss, Lola appealed to her social media followers for help in selling the excess bread. Her call for support garnered an overwhelming response, with people retweeting her post and placing orders for the bread.
In just a few hours, thanks to the influence of social media and the generosity of strangers, she and her mother were able to sell all 220 loaves.
Lola later updated her followers, expressing gratitude for the community's support, including a Nigerian living abroad who purchased a large quantity to be donated to those in need.
Her mother also took to the platform to express her appreciation for the support, thanking everyone who helped avoid a significant loss. She wrote:
“I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for the outpouring of support and likes on my daughter’s post about the incident that occurred yesterday. We sold out all 220 loaves of bread, and we are truly grateful for each and every one of you. May the Lord bless you all,” she wrote.
