A 25-year-old lady, Becky Osarume Osagie, made a life-changing decision to relocate from Europe and start afresh as a vulcanizer in Edo State, Nigeria.
Becky's journey began in 2015 when she left Nigeria for Libya with the help of an agent, spending N400,000 on the trip. Upon reaching Italy, she found herself in a challenging situation as she was obligated to work and pay back £35,000 (equivalent to N17 million) to the agent.

However, faced with limited opportunities, she chose to return to Nigeria rather than engage in prostitution, which was the only work offered to her there.
Back in Nigeria in 2017, Becky decided to start anew and discovered an interest in vulcanizing after seeing a Nollywood actress play the role in a movie.
In an interview with BBC News Pidgin, Becky expressed that she has no regrets about her decision to return to Nigeria and embrace a new career path as a vulcanizer. Her determination and courage to forge a different path in life serve as an inspiration to others facing similar challenges and seeking to create a brighter future for themselves.
