A Nigerian lady pleads with Nathaniel Bassey to refrain from pursuing legal action regarding his petition to sue netizens who alleged that Mercy Chinwo’s baby belonged to him.
Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Blessed Uzochikwa, recently shared photos of their baby born in 2023, eliciting numerous reactions from internet users who questioned the child's paternity.
Some individuals even went as far as advising her husband to conduct a DNA test, claiming the baby bore a striking resemblance to Nathaniel Bassey.
In response, the gospel singer and his legal team filed a petition with the police, citing defamation of character, supported by evidence and a list of individuals involved.
While one individual claimed to have only reposted content seen on Facebook, Twitter user, @TrulyDearest_, implored Nathaniel Bassey to drop the case, emphasizing the opportunity to exemplify forgiveness as preached in Christianity.
She stated;
“@nathanielblow it is now to demonstrate to Nigerians what Christians have been preaching about which is forgiveness. You have to prove it now.
Same people that are pushing you to sue will be the ones that will be condemning you if you go ahead with the case. Let the sleeping dog lie.”
