A prophet named Emmanuel Okeke, holding the position of Senior Prophet at Watchtower Prayer Network, recently took to task members of his congregation for what he perceived as insufficient offerings despite their apparent blessings.

Expressing his frustration, Prophet Okeke questioned the sincerity of church members who claimed that God led them to give only meager amounts. He particularly highlighted the incongruity of someone having one million Naira and offering only 500 Naira, asking rhetorically, "I don’t understand, which God is that God? Amadioha? It’s only amadioha. It’s only an oracle that you go to the shrine and give 200 Naira and they accept. And some of you will say God is not after our money. Your giving shows how much of your heart he has.”

This outspoken stance by the prophet has triggered varied reactions among netizens. Some users, like @Timmydennyd, expressed disbelief at individuals praying for financial blessings but offering only small amounts, stating, "You can pray to God to bless you and then when you have the money you give peanut as offering.?? So when you go broke you will come back to say 'God pls gimme money' make everybody dea ment dey go.” Others, such as @sampedia, questioned the prophet's focus, suggesting, "Why is he so pained, I’d like to see him transfer that energy towards salvation and repentance teachings."

@osagie_adams added a critical perspective, stating, "Did God tell you he needs money? Ole. See the way he’s serious about it as if there’s inflation in heaven." Meanwhile, @limitbreaker_35 pointed out what they perceived as a motive behind some callings, remarking, "Everybody wan cash out by all means. Most of una, no be God call you, na hunger motivated calling."

The prophet's impassioned plea and the subsequent online discourse have brought to light the complex intersection of faith, finance, and individual interpretations of religious obligations.
